My name is Bernie and I am currently an Ed.D. student at Boston University; I just finished my M.Ed. in the Spring of 2010. I have been a high school mathematics and chemistry teacher for 3 years, and I want to return to the classroom after finishing my Ed.D.

I have taught all levels of high school and middle school mathematics, and I have taught college-level chemistry. I excel at standardized tests, including the SAT, PSAT, ACT, and GRE, and I love tutoring students who want to improve their test scores. I also have worked with elementary school children learning to read using the DIBELS method. No matter what the subject, I try to make it fun for everyone.

If you’re a college student, I can help you, too! I spent 12 years in the casino gaming industry and used advanced mathematics every day. I can tutor anything from college algebra all the way up to partial differential equations and anywhere in between. Statistics is my favorite college-level math, so bring it on!

I’m pretty straight forward, and I believe in the “I show, you watch; I do – you do; You do, I watch” theory of education – we will practice until I know you know how to do it.

I look forward to meeting you, and please feel free to email any questions. If you’d rather talk on the phone, just email me your phone number and I’ll call you back as soon as I can. When you’re ready to sign up for tutoring time, you’ll find my calendar right here, or you can email/call me for an appointment.

How to Use the Appointy Calendar
